Job Description:

To assist in the management of all aspects of the Wells Gray Park Visitor Information Centre in Clearwater, BC. This is one of the busiest Information Centres in British Columbia and approximately 100,000 people will make use of the centre’s services in four months of operation.  We need a front line person to give out information about the park and answer travel questions. Your duties will include assisting in the management of revenue generating activities, specifically a booking desk which helps visitors find appropriate accommodations, services, and activities. As the assistant manager you will be provided with Destination BC training (unless you already have it) and become familiar with the province’s tourism product. Hopefully, you have an adventurous spirit and will be able to take advantage of three days off every week to join many of the activities being offered by our partners, local tourism operators. You will help guide and supervise student employees and volunteers who provide information services at the centre. A person in this position will obtain varied and challenging tasks in a fun and dynamic environment.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience in a busy customer service environment is an asset.  Another language and computer skills with social media knowledge would be great. The most important qualifications are extremely friendly and patient with good stamina for a high energy position. For a person with these personality traits we are happy to offer all other training.
